Seiko Watch Corporation is a Japanese company that specializes in the production of wristwatches, clocks, and electronic devices. The company was founded in 1881 by Kintaro Hattori in Tokyo, Japan. Originally named Seikosha, the company started out producing clocks before moving into the production of pocket watches in 1895.
The Seiko 5 is also steeped in horological history. When it stepped onto the scene in 1963, it was revolutionary. Seiko set out to build a watch with five attributes, from which the watch gets its name:

- Resistance to water
- Day-date in a single window
- Recessed crown
- Durable case

Today, we are presenting a stunning timepiece, it is a Seiko 5 Sports automatic watch, ref. 4R36-00G0 and dated from June 2012 – All original!
It is a self-winding watch powered by an original Seiko automatic movement caliber 4R36A, 24 jewels, day/date indicator (2 languages, day/date quicksets: Pull out the crown less dip. Turn the crown counterclockwise to set the date, and turn the crown clockwise to set the weekday. Pull the crown more dip to set the time), 40 hours power reserve, 21,600 A/h, Japan made.
The watch has original black dial with silver baton/luminous hour markers, white minute/second track, silver/luminous matching hands. The day/date window is located at 3 o’clock. It also features a 24-hour (military time) inner ring in two-tone black and white color. Hardlex crystal.
Cased in a 42mm round case, all in stainless steel. Display case back. Black rotating World Timer bezel. 100M Water resistant. This watch also comes in the original Seiko all stainless-steel fold over clasp bracelet, it will fit a wrist up to 7 ¼” (18.4cm). It is a wonderful watch on the wrist and very easy to wear.
This watch is in lovely condition, it is a very good looking watch. Runs very well and keeps great time!
